November 2009: A position is available immediately for a motivated individual to join the laboratory as a research assistant to maintain a colony of transgenic and knock-out mice to evaluate inflammatory disease responses in vivo. July 2009: We just received 2 NIH ARRA administrative supplements - one for a student position and one to upgrade our Nikon fluorescence microscope with a motorized stage, the perfect focus system and a stage top incubation system from Tokai Hit, which provides high resolution live cell imaging capabilities directly in our lab.
June 2009: On June 19 Nicki successfully defended her PhD thesis: "Subcellular Distribution of Apoptosis Associated Speck-like Protein Mediates Inflammasome Assembly: A Novel Mechanism in the Regulation of Interleukin-1beta Release." and returned to Medical School to finish her last 2 years of the MD/PhD program - Congratulations and Good Luck!
