molecular innate immunity post-doctoral position

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study novel aspects of canonical- and non-canonical inflammasome responses in macrophages in the Stehlik-Dorfleutner Laboratory of Molecular Innate Immunology at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Our research is focused on the molecular mechanisms regulating inflammasome responses and deciphering unique inflammasome responses in human macrophages and their function in inflammatory and auto-immune disease and during host-pathogen interaction in humans and in mouse models. requirements

Applicants need to be self-driven, highly motivated recent Graduates with a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree and a strong background in innate immunology or biochemistry and animal models as demonstrated by first-author publications in internationally-recognized scientific journals. Applicants with experience in biochemical techniques and immune-relevant animal models will receive special consideration. The ability to work in a team, good organizational and English language skills, as well as initiative, flexibility and good learning ability are required. Candidates need to be eligible to work and reside in the US.
